Alumni Days give former and current students of the ESBS room to meet and communicate within a biotechnological framework. The event is organized around keynotes and workshops given by Alumni or external speakers, both from academia and from industry.

This year it will be all around careers in Bioscience related fields. Where can you go, what have others done and what are the latest developments, how can you manage your own career!
Like in every year, speakers come from diverse biorelated fields and a wide range of backgrounds and career paths.
You will also get a glimpse at the current life as a student at the ESBS and as always there is plenty of time to catch up with your dear ESBSiens in the evening.

Young Biotechnologists meet to enhance and demystify the communication of biotechnology

Comm4Biotech, November 18th-19th, 2011 in Strasbourg, France: Get involved in Science communication!

Life Sciences and Technology in Europe bring innovative new products and therapies to consumers, farmers and patients, but have also sparked public controversy around biotechnology.

The international students congress “Comm4Biotech – Communicating Life Sciences and Technology”, organised by two students organisations btS (German) and NGB (French), will promote and enhance communication between science and society.
Join students from Europe, journalists, experts from industry and academia in keynote lectures, workshops, working groups, and plenary discussions. With a broad spectrum of speakers as Peter Beyer (University of Freiburg – Golden Rice Project), Marc Peschanski (I-STEM Grenoble – Stem cells) and Andreas Jordan (MagForce AG – Nanomedicine) the Comm4biotech congress will provide you with valuable advice and insight into science communication.. Learn how to present your research, persuade others of your ideas, engage the public or communicate with journalists.

Enjoy an international atmosphere to discuss, to get inspired and build your network. If you have already contributed to biotechnology communication show your work at the poster session! See you in Strasbourg and sharpen your skills to face the challenges biotech communication!
